Royals Win Ugly Marathon to Take Series Lead

The Royals commited six errors, but still beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 12-11 in 10 innings . The Royals blew an 11-7 with two outs in the ninth allowing the Leafs to tie it to force extra innings.

In the tenth inning, Chris Stewart's RBI single to left field delivered the winning run, but the Royals still made two more errors in the bottom of the 10th and left two runners on before Greg Byron finally got Raul Borjas to pop up to second base for the save.
